We believe that the foundations of faith are laid at
the earliest ages. Using age-appropriate activities and curriculum, children are
taught basic Bible stories and principles. Since children learn better by doing
than by listening, the teaching at this level is extremely active and hands-on.
Games, crafts, and snacks support the Bible lesson each week.
Safety & Security
One of our highest priorities is the safety and security of the children placed
in our care. Toys & decorations are evaluated for safety and regularly checked
for recalls. Each of our staff undergoes an Act 34 check (used by schools in PA)
before being allowed to serve. Ongoing staff training is provided through
periodic meetings, required reading, and other methods. An adult leader patrols
the hall and observes during each Sunday Morning service.
Please notify us of any medical needs (allergies, medications, etc.) that may
affect your child’s ability to participate in classroom activities.
Also, please notify us of any ongoing custody issues that we may need to be
aware of.
Registration & Check-in
In order to ensure safety during pick-up / drop-off times, we observe a strict
registration and check in/out policy. All visitors must report to the
registration center in the Children’s Lobby and fill out a registration form.
Each child (birth – age 5) will receive a number and each parent will receive a
corresponding card. In an emergency or if parental attention is needed, this
number will be used to summon the parent from the auditorium. The number will
appear in the black boxes located to the back and to the side of the stage. This
card will be needed to retrieve your child from their class. NO CHILD WILL BE
RELEASED TO ANY ADULT WHO DOES NOT HAVE THEIR CARD! If you lose your card,
please go to the Registration Center and see a staff member.
Well Child Policy
If a child has a runny nose, persistent cough, fever, rash, or any other signs
of illness we will ask the parent to keep their child with them. If the Nursery
Leader notices this during the service, parents will be paged.
